Prayer for Abiding in Christ
Lord Jesus Christ, You commanded and gave us Your gift of grace to love one another as You loved us and gave Yourself for us on the Cross.
As I consciously and sincerely live and seek Your face daily, help me to remain in You and You in me, otherwise I cannot bear good fruit. Lord, I commit to You, my freedom, my memory, my understanding, my energy, my will, and all that I have and cherish, which You have given me.
I surrender them all to be controlled by the Holy Spirit.
Henceforth, I consciously and willingly release my spirit, soul, and body to You, Lord Jesus.
Use me as Your disciple and as an instrument of Your peace such that where there is hatred, I would sow love; where there is sadness, joy; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is crisis, peace; and where there is darkness, light.
Holy Spirit, help me to love Jesus and strengthen my spirit for the things above which are eternal.
Conform me to the will of the Father in obedience to His commandments and help me abide in the true love of Christ which surpasses the wisdom of men because Your love, Dear Jesus, is as great as the love between You and the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
I receive the grace and help from above to live my life, knowing that with You, Lord Jesus, I can do all things.
Your word clearly states in John 15:5 that You are the Vine and I am Your branch and that if I abide in You, You will abide in me and make me bear much fruit. This means that without You I can do absolutely nothing.
By the sweet anointing of the Holy Spirit, Lord, I receive, at this moment, the ability to remain in You. And I declare therefore that no power of hell can separate me from Your love.
I live to declare the testimony of Your conception, birth, death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven.
Lord, take me deeper into Your love and help me to selflessly gain sight of You daily.
Teach me how to love others with the love of the Father.
Induce the hunger for Your living word in me and let it abide in my heart.
Increase my confidence and trust in Your power for my daily spiritual nourishment and success.
Lord Jesus, may Your truth remain in me and with me forever.
Thank You for the special gift to abide in You and bear much fruit. Amen
