Have you ever wondered how to make money online in Nigeria? Or you’ve always wondered if it is possible to make money online in Nigeria.
Yes! Making money online in Nigeria is possible, and this post will show you how to make money in Nigeria.
With the current situation of Nigeria’s economy, to make one thousand naira extra income every day would mean a lot to many Nigerians, especially students and young graduates.
If the money doesn’t cater for much, it would at least to some extent, cover your airtime and internet subscription expenses.
And if you’re good with savings, you can easily save enough on a monthly basis and channel the savings towards other businesses.
I will show you practical ways of making money online per day in this post. The system has been working for me for years now.
The truth is, there are days when I won’t make a dime, probably because I am too busy to do any extra work, or there is no work to do.
But it doesn’t change the fact that if I dedicate enough time, I still earn a decent income online monthly.
NOT BLOGGING!
Surprised?
When people hear about making money online, the first thing that comes to mind is blogging.
Blogging takes time and money; it would take some people months and some years before they start making a decent income.
I think a lot is at stake when it comes to blogging because you never can tell how rewarding it will be.
Over 70% of new bloggers would give up on their quest before they earn their first cent.
If you want to make money very fast online, then you need to look away from blogging and think of other profitable online businesses in Nigeria,
IT’S SERVICE RENDERING
The fastest route to making money online is by rendering services to people.
It’s as easy as taking a picture of a place, analyzing a Facebook fan page, or writing a 400-word article. Most of these tasks can be completed in less than an hour, and you would be smiling with at least ₦1000 in your pocket for every completed task.
Make Money by Rendering Online Services
Here is how I make at least one thousand naira per day by rendering services online.
1. Freelance Job
I have been writing for over five years now; the internet business (blogging, marketing, publicity, entertainment, etc.) thrives on quality content.
The type of content depends on the business; the entertainment businesses would need quality videos and pictures, while blogs would need articles.
There are many freelance jobs out there, depending on your skills. There are jobs for web designers, programmers, writers, illustrators, narrators, etc.
As a result of this, there is always a job for freelancers on the internet. Somebody is always looking for a writer, a web designer, or an editor somewhere around the globe.
The major task now is how to meet those who need your service, and this is what I will write about in the next few paragraphs.
FIVERR: Fiverr is a freelance marketplace that pays a minimum of $5 (You earn $4 for every task, and the company keeps $1) for each completed task. You can always increase your charges as you gain more authority on the website.
But for newbies, you cannot charge more than $5 per task.
It’s easy to create a Fiverr account. Once you log on to the website, you can create a gig about what you know how to do best and share the gig around social media. Fiverr also has a way of showing your gig to prospective buyers.
You can also participate in the forum section of the site to keep your account active while you wait for your first buyer.
It may take some time before getting your first buyer (There is a way around this, and I will write about it later in the future). But once you get your first order, and you complete the order with a good rating, then you’re on your way to becoming a super seller.
Once you’re established on the site, it’s easy to get at least two (2) orders per day. That’s about $8 (#1500+) daily.
FREELANCER: It’s another freelance website like Fiverr, and you can make money from the site as well by offering freelance services.
Other micro job websites include but are not limited to:
Freelancer, Iwriter, seoclerks, zeerk, gigbucks.
The idea here is to create an account on all these websites and promote your service across social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.). Link the account to a single email account so that you can easily get notified when somebody orders your service.
2. Blog Administrator
If you’re an average writer, chances are; you can become a blog administrator and earn money. The beauty of it is that you don’t have to worry if the blog is earning money or not.
Once you do your job by updating the blog, then you will earn from the owner.
There are various blogs out there that need an administrator, mainly because the owner is busy with other projects, or the blog has grown too big beyond the capacity of the owner.
All you have to do is make a compilation of these blogs and send a proposal to the owner.
You can make a simple Google search of blogs within your area of interest.
Then make a list of blogs that haven’t been updated for a while, and a list of blogs that are established and you think could use the help of an administrator.
Send a formal proposal to the blog administrator, stating clearly your intention.
From experience, most of them would reply to your email with enthusiasm
Here is how to conduct a simple Google search for blogs within your areas of interest:
Let’s assume your area of interest is a fashion blog. Then you would have to google search “Fashion blogs in Nigeria” without the quote. Then open each of the listed results on a new page and classify each of the blogs; either under the “Hasn’t been updated for a long time” or “ Established blog.”
After searching, you can then format your proposal to suit each of the blogs.
PS: Before you get hired as a freelance writer, a larger percentage of prospective employers would want to see your portfolio; what you’ve written in the past, a sample of your work.
You can fulfill this requirement by starting a free blog online and writing on various topics in your area of interest.
The aim of the blog is not to make money from adverts but to showcase your writing style to prospective employers.
As time goes on, you won’t have to update the blog again. Because you would have written many pieces on the internet, and you can always give them a link to your post online.
In conclusion, if you’re yet to make a pattern from this post, then it’s only fair that I summarize the objective of the post to you here:
- You can make money easily and fast by rendering services,
- You can get connect with people willing to hire you by using sites like Fiverr, iWriter, Freelancer, etc.
- You can also get employed as a blog administrator by searching for blogs that are not frequently updated and contacting the owner with a proposal.
- You need an online portfolio to show your prospective employers that you’re up to the task, so create a free blog and start writing about your area of interest.
